ATTENTION ALL U.S. GUN OWNERS!! HR-45 Bill
This is me showing my concern for the possibilty of the current administrations attempt at a National Confiscation of our fire-arms..They are going to try and SNEEK in legislation under other BILLS…So we need to be very vidulent and make sure that our State Representatives READ ALL THE BILLS that come up for vote and READ them well…This Bill is trying to be passed in a INCOME TAX Bill ,and as of right now its not LAW but if we just let it go by the way-side they are going to try and pass …

I would add that I am not being critical of people alarmed by such a bill but I would suggest that gun control will not come in this form – it would be political suicide to support (see recent polls about American attitudes to gun ownership). Rather, gun control will be an incremental, frog-in-pan-of-boiling-water thing.
Watch out for a new assault weapon ban though. We’re just a few school shootings away from making that palatable to many Americans who don’t understand semi-automatic.
HR-45 was proposed by an Illinois (big surprise) pol named Bobby Rush as a sop to his constituency. I don’t want to minimize the danger of anti-gun politicians, but this was widely scoffed at and would be political suicide to support. It will be passed around for years to come. People have been freaking out about it (understandably) for about six months.
HR-45 has no co-sponsors. The NRA has reported on this – just google “hr-45 nra.”
Strangely, Bobby Rush is an ex Black Panther.
