HR 45 does pose a credible threat to people who are at risk for a home invasion or people who are in a transitioning stage between addresses frequently. It also provides another barrier to those who are willingly and lawfully seeking to acquire a personal handgun for personal protection purposes. However I don't honestly believe this bill will hold up in its form through the House and Senate. In the meantime, write your congressman, tell him your concerns.
