Personally, I feel that you’re right. HR 45 does pose a credible threat to people who are at risk for a home invasion or people who are in a transitioning stage between addresses frequently. It also provides another barrier to those who are willingly and lawfully seeking to acquire a personal handgun for personal protection purposes.
However I don’t honestly believe this bill will hold up in its form through the House and Senate.
In the meantime, write your congressman, tell him your concerns.

I’ve to admit Cuba was really nice. The weather is awesome and the buildings are Spanish colonial style and they drive old American cars from the sixties. Really nice to hang out there and drinking a cocktail and smoking a Cuban cigar. I felt like a queen. I was there with my sister V. Believe me, Cuba is more beautiful than your redneck state of MS.

I’ve been to Cuba. I had to fly to Canada first and then to Cuba. It was under the Bush regime who made it impossible to fly from the US to Cuba so now American tourists have to go to Canada or Mexico first before going to Cuba. When you enter Cuba just ask if they don’t stamp your passport and so when you return to America via Canada, the US border patrol won’t see it. Yesterday I was in Oakland at 74th / MacArthur and it was touching that peace doves were released to honor fallen officers. Where were 2nd amendment supporters to pay tribute to the fallen heroes who put their lives in the line of fire for us ? No, they were probably planning to kill more brave cops. Obama made a phone call to Mayor Dellums to send his condolences. We don’t need condolences from Obama, we need actions from him and speaker Pelosi and ban guns ASAP and repeal the 2nd amendment !
