Obama, or anyone else will never get the votes to take away guns from the people. Assault weapons? I agree, the public does not need them and I own a lot of guns. Why are the conservatives going ape over this? Rush, the NRA and everyone else that truly believes all Democrats are for gun control tell them that. You can look at the facts or listen to the radicals. Your choice.

There is a huge difference between owning a gun to hunt or even to protect your home and walking around in a densely populated urban area with an assault weapon.

Also, learn your history. The “Brady Bill” was pushed by James Brady, a REPUBLICAN.

Here’s what the CONSERVATIVE Supreme Court had to say in the DC gun ban case last year (Scalia writing for the majority):

La-abiding Americans have the right to own firearms for legitimate purposes. The government has the right to regulate and restrict gun ownership and use as long as such regulations do not have the effect of prohibiting a law-abiding citizen from owning a firearm for legitimate purposes.

The conservatives equate “gun control” with some sort of violation of their rights. They want no accountability, no restrictions, and no oversight. Well–that’s NOT what the Constitution says.

While I think most are I do believe its not all of them. Hell I know several people who call themselves democrat who have more guns than Switzerland’s whole army

We have yet to hear a conservative say they want gun control.

We have heard plenty of democrat politicians saying they want it.

I guess one can surmise from that.

Biden introduced a bill that would outlaw most ammunition. He called it legislation to take armor piercing rounds off the streets. He didn’t mention that it included almost all hunting rounds. That is where it comes from.

The most amusing thing that I have ever run into in my life is a Liberal friend that is also a gun enthusiast!
But he has 2 pistols, an AR-15 and an SKS.

So start an exceptions list to your assertion or start learning to say “SOME” conservatives.
