Dems: Hillary’s successor in the NY senate is a gun-nut
Kirsten Gilliband was rated 100% positive by the NRA.
The NRA never gives Democrats good ratings, let alone flawless ratings.
If she had anything like a balanced view about guns, she wouldn’t have a 100% NRA record. She might have been a good pick otherwise, but this is absurd.
In March 2007, she suggested to “Ban gun registration & trigger lock law in Washington DC.”
TO THOSE OF YOU WHO FEEL THE NRA DOESN’T BELIEVE IN GIVING CRIMINALS GUNS:
1. Name one pro-gun control legislation they have ever endorsed or supported.
2. Explain why they advocate against background checks including the brady bill.

I have no problem with her being pro 2nd amendment. In fact, it’s great, it shows that things are not always black and white.
As for the NRA, any responsible gun owner has no problem with the Brady Bill and with background checks.
Please explain the difference in a ‘gun-nut’ and a supporter of the constitution, which does include the second amendment.
The NRA was against the brady bill because of the 10th ammendment, they felt this was a state issue.
If you think lawbreakers are going to obey gun laws, you need to get your head checked!
Anyone who refers to an anti-gun control advocate as a “gun nut” has no business complaining about lack of “balance” (nice euphemism) in the protected speech of the NRA. They advocate against required background checks because background checks can be misused by government to deny *anyone* guns. It eventually *will* be used that way if people like you have a naïve faith in the good faith of a government that even now seeks to get more and more control over private citizens.Gun control laws infringe on Second Amendment liberties. To preserve that liberty, I can live with a few bad people buying guns that they’re going to buy one way or another.I refuse to hand over one more liberty to the federal government.

I swore an oath to Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic. I served two combat tours. I did not do all that so some lady named Sarah Brady could **** the troops and want to take away one of my rights I fought for.
