Tis pretty obvious that B would be more of a deterrent unless no one were home and the burglar needed a gun.
My home has no sign. Burglarize it and have a short adventure of discovery, not necessarily conducive to long life.

No sign. Just a dog and a gun. And a universal expectation of criminals that they’ll be chewed up and shot if they try anything. To the “call the police comment”, you do that AFTER the immediate threat is over.

If any burglar thinks that I am defenseless without a gun, they will quickly realize they are mistaken as they proceed to towards the light.
Why put a sign out. Just leave a little bait on the front porch. After you shoot 3 or 4 would be crooks, I think they will get the message to stay away.
You can always call the Police,in which case they will get there in about 15 minutes,of course you will be dead by then,A very large,loud and mean dog is a good start,but I like the idea of following that up with a .45 with a high capacity magazine.
