Where does McCain stand on gun rights and abortion? Judicial appointees?
DAR asked:
“McCain received an “F” Rating from the Gun Owners of America, while Ron Paul received an “A+” rating. McCain votes with Teddy Kennedy on every piece of gun control legislation (a worse record than Hillary Clinton), while Paul is actively working to repeal the last 20 years of federal gun control laws.Jenny, most of that is just talk, and he’s said things both ways. On actions, his judicial appointee actions go the other way.

actually, if you go to McCain’s website – he believes Roe vs. Wade should be overturned and the issue handled at the state level. He does not support abortion on a personal level however.
He supports the right to citizens to bear arms, but supports legislation that controls automatic weapons.
You are correct that McCain is more middle than conservative and that he crosses the aisle a lot which even his opponents say makes him one of the most effective Senators at leading to compromises that actually get things done in Congress. There are issues where I disagree with McCain – he is still better than the Socialist agenda the Democrats are putting up this year.
Ok so what are u suggesting, vote Obama?! are u out of ur mind! Remember ronPaul is not viable. So any anti McCain vote would be a vote for Obama. McCain is far better than the other viable choice Obama
This group you mention is a PAC. They rank right up there with the American Hunters and Shooters Association. I doubt Ron Paul WANTS their endorsement.
The NRA speaks for the majority of gun owners. The group you mentioned as well as the group I added are fringe wannabes.
Yep. Ron Paul gets the fringe survivalist vote endorsement so you are correct. Based on that we should let him rule the entire freakin world.
You asked 3 totally different questions in 1.
Ask the other 2 separately and I’ll be happy to answer them.
Our rights, as well as state “POWERS” (not state “rights”) will be restored only if we continually demand their restoration.
McCain earned the fullness of my repugnance with that Kennedy Amnesty thing.
As for my personal stance on guns, I laid down my weapon at the end of my tenure in the Marine Corps and have had no desire to pick up another since. But, if it actually becomes necessary for the defense of our Liberties, I’ll be picking that rifle up and using it. God forbid that it should ever come to that, though.

Edit 1
Chuck: You’re a bro and I appreciate your input. That said, though, the political clout Dr. Paul brings to the race is substantial and based entirely on continuity.
He defers to the Constitution, a 221 year old contract with the People whose purpose, above all else, is to remind us that power tends to concentrate into the fewest (and the wrong) hands.
People WILL listen to a President Paul. For no other reason than the fact that he’s demonstrated his loyalty to the acceptance that leaders must be restrained. I’ve been all over the map, politically (well, except liberal… I just couldn’t go there), and have never seen nor felt the impact Dr. Paul delivers by dint of sheer loyalty.
I hope you’ll consider his bid for service to this country. I hope, for the good of us all, that many who’ve written him off will return to ground zero and listen to what the man has to say.

JUDICIAL APPOINTEES
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee said that Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. “would serve as the model for my own nominees, if that responsibility falls to me. My nominees will understand that there are clear limits to the scope of judicial power, and clear limits to the scope of federal power,” McCain told a crowd of several hundred at Wake Forest University’s Wait Chapel.”
